Happy Spring, everyone! Did you know that Red Wolf pups are usually born in the spring? Hopefully, we will be seeing some cute little baby wolves soon! I got a request on the feedback survey asking for some easier ways to help the Red Wolves that anyone can do in their own home. First, I would like to thank Annika for the idea! I agree that not all activists have to do a huge fundraiser, or walk around the streets with a protest sign. There are more ways to help the Red Wolves than doing something big! Even the smallest act helps. I have a few ideas to get you started on small-scale Red Wolf activism:
If you're on any online social group, spread the word! Post about the plight of the Red Wolves.
The easiest way: Just tell others about Red Wolves!
Do you like crafting? Make posters! Be creative!
In school? Ask the teacher if you can write something about Red Wolves on the whiteboard!
Planning a beach vaca? What about the Outer Banks? There is so much to see and do, plus, on the way, you drive through Red Wolf territory! If you see a piece of trash, pick it up! Also, stop through the town of Columbia and visit the Red Wolf Coalition! It's a beautiful town!
I hope this helps! I'm so glad that you are enthusiastic about Red Wolves! Let's start this year in a great way!

The Red wolves are rapidly disappearing. Only 15 red wolves are left in the wild. There are only approximately 200 in captivity. This month, help with the revision of red wolves by doing trash pickups at a local nature conservancy. The red wolves will love a clean home! If you've ever driven to the Outer Banks, close to Columbia, NC, you will see signs that say things like, "Red wolf crossing next 12 miles!" And signs for parks with trails or roads were you could see red wolves. Help the red wolves by cleaning these parks and reserves. And, when you do, even if you don't live close to the red wolves, you can help other animals!
